If the banksters manage to implement CBDCs, it will be after they engineer a collapse of the Western financial system and confiscate most of everyone’s bank deposits and securities (see The Great Taking). At that point, I imagine they will require gold to be turned in for CBDCs under penalty of law. After that, you would only be able to use it for barter.
