Casey & Maybury are two of the smartest guys you’ll ever find in any room and I’ve been a fan for as long as I can remember. Their contributions to the flow wisdom, insight, and information cannot possibly be overstated and you’d be hard pressed to find two other individuals on the planet with more intellect.

However, both seem to overlook one area that’s absolutely essential, and which is crucial to help the common man understand why were are in the predicament were in. And it is precisely this: We are not in an ideological battle. Let me say it again: The ongoing political war we’ve been going thru for the last 100 years is NOT over political ideology*, ie: capitalism vs socialism, communism, fascism. It is not a battle between our political or economic philosophy against their philosophy. It is not a fight between two sides who both think their ideas are smarter than the other side. And believing that the main issue is an ideological one is counterproductive and a colossal waste of time, energy and manpower.

No, the fight we’ve been in is one of morality**. Stated more accurately, it’s a battle of morality versus a lack of morality. It’s a battle between right and wrong. Between freedom and tyranny; liberty and oppression; autonomy and slavery; lying and honesty; independence and restraint; consent and prohibition. And the common denominator between all those things is the dominative and delusional mental state most people suffer from today, the something for nothing mentality. These are the people who believe in mob rule and that theft is moral as long as it benefits themselves. And this just might get us to the heart of the matter.

* Ideology – noun
a system of ideas and principles on which a political or economic theory is based

** Morality – noun
a doctrine or system of moral conduct…principles of right or wrong behavior
