As officials scramble to get in front of a disease that seems to easily evade their slow-footed efforts, SARS-COV-II is growing exponentially in several countries. Iran’s cases and deaths are certainly far higher then they claim, as recent gruesome video evidence supports. The Federal Reserve took it’s only hammer out of its bag and performed a surprise 50 bp (0.5%) emergency rate cut. The last times the Fed performed such a cut were followed by bad moments in financial history including March 2001, and Oct 2008.
Further, the supply shocks are just starting to be felt, and China’s economic activity proxies (such as passenger miles, pollution levels, etc.) all point to a continued stoppage of a huge proportion of its economy. You need to be ready for an explosion of cases in your country, especially if you live in a cooler climate. Please, use every day to improve your circumstances. I’ve been reading your virus updates for awhile now. I want to report something that I find hard to believe. My 13 year grand daughters’ best friend is the daughter of the woman that was just tested positive for covid-19 in Washington state. She worked at the care facility where patients have recently died.
My daughter just got back from the doctors office and the doctor didn’t say boo about the importance of self quarantining her family…. even after she explained her connection to the infected woman. I can only assume that doctors are being given orders on how to handle such a situation and it appears that we are doing nothing in the way of trying to slow the spread of this virus down in America. I myself think the ‘powers that be’ have come to the conclusion that the best way to get through this pandemic is to let it go through the population as soon as possible. It might be that they calculate a long drawn out pandemic will be more hurtful to the economy than letting everyone get the virus as quickly as possible in hope that the thing will burn out.
Thanks for doing your daily update. I wish you would spend a little more time debunking or proving a 2% kill rate. My best calculator is the recovered compared to killed, using Italy and South Korea as the most trusted data. Can you provide a more accurate calculator or is my method the best we have until we see the result of the Diamond Princess. That number is over 30% kill rate.

Anything that potentially can inhibit a virus and/or render it ineffective is worth looking into with the coronavirus making its way around the globe. I’m not promoting them at all, but I found a very large bottle at the Vitamin Shoppe, if you have one near you … they usually come in much smaller bottles is why I’m mentioning this.

Here is another number that people are ignoring. The rate of people dying is increasing by about 4 fold every ten days. If this rate continues, by early June, one billion people will be dead. Do the math yourself. These numbers are extrapolated from the official numbers being reported. It could be worse if China is under reporting.
