Ross Beaty: Party is Over for Tech Stocks, Cryptos; Momentum Will Move Back to Gold

Stansberry Research, Released on 3/3/22

“The real story on gold is a store of value and an alternative to paper currencies,” says mining industry veteran Ross Beaty, founder and chairman of Equinox Gold Corp. and Pan American Silver Corp. “I think the party is over,” he tells our Daniela Cambone at the 2022 GSA Investor Day Conference, for digital assets that have dragged gold’s performance over the last few years. Beaty urges investors not to buy the precious metal due to short-term geopolitical tensions, but to view gold for what it is. The upward rise in technology stocks “is finally breaking, and I think that is going to continue in 2022 and 2023, where that momentum may move into gold.” The precious metals sector “is in the limelight,” Beaty concludes.

Ross J. Beaty is an entrepreneur and businessperson who has been at the helm of 12 different companies and is Chairman for Equinox Gold Corp., former Chairman at Pan American Silver Corp. (which he founded in 1994), and Chairman for Regalito Copper Corp. Ross J. Beaty is also President & Director at Sitka Foundation and on the board of 5 other companies. He is the founder of 6 different companies, including: Pan American Silver Corp., Global Copper Corp. and Northern Peru Copper Corp.
