Why does no one comment on this site?
I can’t really answer that definitively.
However, it seems from my own experience that a site needs tens of thousands of viewers a day minimum in order to have and maintain an active comment section. This site is simply not that large. In addition, about half of the visitors to this site are over the age of 55, so perhaps that might have something to do with it as well.
If you look at a site like Dollarcollapse.com, which is at least several times larger than Market Sanity, John Rubino’s articles usually only have a few comments under them at most. So I think the size of the website and the amount of views a video or article receive has a lot to do with it.
If you click the Joe Rogan video above and view it on YouTube you’ll see it has about 1 million views at the time I’m writing this, and about 5,000 comments. But when you watch the video on my site, it doesn’t get anywhere even remotely close to that many clicks, therefore the number of comments are much lower.
