“Basic commodities we rely on as a mining industry we have to look for today because the Fed is cutting off supply chains,” says Keith Neumeyer, president and CEO of First Majestic Silver Corp. “We’re going to have long-term inflation… I think we are going to have an inflationary period that’s going to last the next decade,” he says at the Gold & Silver reception during PDAC 2023. “On a dollar basis, we are producing more gold than silver right now… Gold creates the stability we need on a balance sheet,” Neumeyer continues. “Copper is the highway, and silver is the glue… Recycling is virtually at zero for silver, ” he argues. “The entire mining sector is down, and we are heavily affected by the silver price. “We’re still focusing on Mexico, I’ve not given up on it, I think it’s a great place for a silver and gold company to be,” Neumeyer states. “There is something going on behind the scenes with central banks hoarding gold, and because of that, we’re going to see new highs in gold at the end of the year… $3,000 gold and $30 silver,” he concludes.

Keith Neumeyer is the president and CEO of First Majestic Silver, one of the largest primary silver mining companies in the world. He’s also the founder and chairman of First Mining Finance. Both companies are traded on the Canadian and U.S. stock exchanges.
