The Korelin Economics Report, Released on 8/21/20
Jordan Roy-Byrne joins me on this Friday to share his comments on the current correction in the precious metals. We consider how the “Buffet bump” for gold has impacted this correction in terms of timing and price level. Finally comments are on how the underlying stocks are preforming during this correction.

Two things guys…
1) There is a difference between short-term trading and long-term investing. Jordan often differentiates between the two. We all know in today’s computer-driven markets that short-term moves in almost all assets have become extremely erratic and irrational compared to years past.
2) Jordan called for a correction in GDX several weeks ago. GDX has corrected and continues to correct. This is not up for debate. There are two ways for any asset to correct: they can correct through time or through price. Gold, for example, is working off its SHORT TERM overbought status by trading sideways at the moment with a short-term bearish chart set up. LONG TERM the gold chart is bullish.
