John Rubino: Markets To Fall Into ‘Blind Panic’ As System Breaks & Money Fails In 2023?

Wealthion, Released on 1/4/23

When at the start of a new year as we are now, it helps to take a fresh look at the macro situation — the key trends that will drive the economy & markets. For example, the mountain of global debt continues to expand, but the cost of servicing it is suddenly skyrocketing due to higher interest rates. Inflation, while starting to moderate, is still not anywhere under control. US Money Supply is now shrinking for the 1st time in at a least 60 years. And the rest of world is rushing to find ways to de-dollarize trade. What impact will these trends have for investors in 2023? To discuss, we’re fortunate to be joined today by John Rubino, co-author of the book The Money Bubble along with James Turk.

John Rubino founded the popular financial website DollarCollapse.com in 2004 and sold it in 2022. Mr. Rubino is the co-author, with GoldMoney’s James Turk, of The Money Bubble and The Collapse of the Dollar and How to Profit from It. He spent the 1980’s on Wall Street as a Eurodollar trader, equity analyst and junk bond analyst. During the 1990’s he was a featured columnist with TheStreet.com and a frequent contributor to Individual Investor, Online Investor, and Consumers Digest, among many other publications. His latest work can be found at https://rubino.substack.com.
