Jim Rogers: I’m buying more Russia!

Investor Jim Rogers spoke to CNN Money on Monday about the effects a Trump victory is having on his investing strategies. Jim isn’t buy gold or China at the moment, although he stresses he’s not selling either. Although he’s baffled about how Trump will pay for his infrastructure plans, he acknowledges that the money spent on such an endeavor combined with lower taxes will keep markets in rally mode. Mr. Rogers also stresses that he is addng even more to his Russian investments, as he sees a Trump administration and an increasing oil price as positive developments for Russian shares and the Russian ruble.

Jim Rogers co-founded the Quantum Fund with George Soros in 1973, helping to steer the fund to a 4200% return before “retiring” at age 37. He is considered to be one of the greatest investors of all time. Rogers has made two record-setting journeys – once by motorcycle and once by car – and is in the Guinness Book of World Records for doing so. In between his frequent travels, he has served as a professor at Columbia University, started his own commodity index and is a frequent media commentator worldwide. Rogers has also authored six books. He currently lives in Singapore with his family.
