Goodness me, these Casey Takes are going downhill faster than a Six Flags roller coaster.

I realize (and partially sympathize) that Doug & Co. believe the majority of amerikans are just plain stupid. Nothing particularly wrong with that. But do they believe that also applies to their audience? The reason I ask should be obvious. Do they really feel the need to inject those frequent, annoying, & insulting pop-up graphics to highlight the current subject they’re discussing. For example Doug’s talking about his trip to Vegas and up pops a photo of the Bellagio, then they’re talking about the stock market and up pops some stock chart graphic. Really??? Has making video blogs for public consumption simply boiled down to doing, showing, or saying practically anything to captivate your audience? Answer: It sure looks like it.

Now if this kind of video was put out by some knot-head like Chris Martensen, Geo Gammon, or Michael Snyder then it’s no problem, I just ignore em anyway. But for Casey & Co… it’s a little too much. Hey Doug, you’re out of bounds. Stop insulting your listeners by trying to be trendy and hip with the dumb graphics, OK?
