The global economy has faced heightened volatility this year as countries around the world continue shifting away from the U.S. dollar in an effort to unseat the dollar as king of global currencies. David remains skeptical about how folks will respond to the Federal Reserve launching central bank digital currencies (“CBDCs”) amid today’s uncertain market. He encourages investors to explore safe-haven assets in order to protect their portfolios as the banking crisis drags on. “It’s far from over. You might want to think about mitigating the issue by getting into an asset class or making some move that could protect you. If this thing falls rapidly, then it’s very difficult to mitigate the problem,” he concludes.
