Crypto Volatility & Rise of Gold-Based System | John Rubino

Miles Franklin, Released on 1/25/21

The cryptocurrency mania could be a repeat of the tech bubble, says financial author and columnist John Rubino. Two decades ago, when many tech startups failed, some ended up surviving the crash: these are the tech giants today. Rubino says a similar thing could happen to the cryptocurrency space, where most collapse in a glorious death but a few survive as money of the future. Also in this interview, Rubino discusses how does cryptocurrency compare with gold and silver, and the role of precious metals in a future monetary system.

John Rubino is the founder and manager of the popular financial website DollarCollapse.com. Mr. Rubino is the co-author, with GoldMoney’s James Turk, of The Money Bubble and The Collapse of the Dollar and How to Profit from It. He spent the 1980’s on Wall Street as a Eurodollar trader, equity analyst and junk bond analyst. During the 1990’s he was a featured columnist with TheStreet.com and a frequent contributor to Individual Investor, Online Investor, and Consumers Digest, among many other publications. He currently writes for CFA Magazine.
