Craig Hemke, Founder and Editor of TF Metals Report, joins us to break down what he is seeing on the silver COT report data, and how trends in open interest between the banks versus the speculative hedge funds can reveal when markets turn at both intermediate tops and bottoms. We review prior COT setups in this deep dive, how markets reacted, and get Craig’s current read on what transpired this last week. Additionally, we point out that with the precious metals mining stocks, by comparing price action in the GDX, that they very closely correlate with silver price action. This means that shorter-term movements in silver often match the precious metals stocks for trading set ups; but that longer-term, we need to see silver break out of its range to see the gold and silver equities really get some momentum going to the upside.
