Scott Ritter is an author and pundit and a former United States Marine Corps intelligence officer and United Nations weapons inspector. He served as a junior military analyst during Operation Desert Storm and then as a member of the United Nations Special Commission (UNSCOM) overseeing the disarmament of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) in Iraq from 1991 to 1998, from which he resigned in protest. He later became a critic of the Iraq War and United States foreign policy in the Middle East. He was convicted of sex offenses in 2011.

If the USA wants reality-based dealings with Russia, how about unfreezing the Russian assets, offering to rebuild the pipe-line they blew up, removes all military support immediately, and then goes to Putin and begins there.
Trump is lost.
The USA spends billions brain-washing the European population, politicians included, filling their head with fears of Russia taking over their nations. Then its surprised when Europe is apprehensive.
Trump is not looking for peace. He’s gearing up for war in China or Iran or Mexico. And Ritter is blowing him like s trombone. He’s really losing the plot.
